Atlow Fete Derbyshire
7th July 2019
This was a Porsche Club GB Region 8 designated show, and the quality of Porsche on display was excellent. We had 17 Porsches from a 365 to my favourite, a 993 GT2.
The village is located down very tight single track lanes but is beautiful and well presented. The cars are placed on well attended lawn on one side of the brook and the fete is situated on the other side. They had the usual stalls, with tombola and guess the weight of the cake etc.
They did have excellent home produced food and lots and lots of great cake. Tea and coffee and cake, did I mention the cake? They were all served in real cups and on real plates with lots of seating.
This is a wonderful old style village fete with its own little duck races down the brook. (They do give good prizes).
A nice ride out into the middle of rural Derbyshire and a pleasant afternoon spent relaxing.
