Horse & Groom, Linby Village. Nottinghamshire
June 13th Wednesday evening meet
The Horse & Groom Classic Car meet is held on alternative Wednesdays to the Griffins Head meet and is run by the same car club.
At the moment it’s still a small meet in a field behind the pub and certainly needs better signage outside, because we nearly turned around and drove away. It was difficult to see from the main road.
The entrance to the field is very tight and we decided to park in the pub car park, rather than chance it. However, the Mustang is 6’4” wide so for a normal size car, the entrance is no issue and the field had a line of cars down each side.
We soon got chatting to fellow enthusiasts and I got snapping a few photos. The cars were all well-presented and covered a good range. Ford Capri, Peugeot 205, Austin, Triumph, Porsche etc.
A pleasant pub setting and a lovely place for an evening out in the car.
