The Donington Race Circuit is easy to access and once on-site, quite quick to get in. Being a club member gives you access to parking on the inside of the track and you will find each club area to park in. The club members direct their own member’s on where to park their cars.

The Donington Race Circuit is easy to access and once on-site, quite quick to get in. Being a club member gives you access to parking on the inside of the track and you will find each club area to park in. The club members direct their own member’s on where to park their cars.
I found the racing let the weekend down a little as they are far too long. A two-hour race, with pit stop for fuel, is way too long for the people attending and many races lasted more than 45 minutes with four races lasting more than an hour. You really need to be an avid follower of motorsport to enjoy them all. I think the same car in one race led from start to finish, and some cars had been lapped 12 times. This does not make entertaining racing and 20-30 minutes would have been better.
Instead of people sitting watching the races, people sat around chatting and walking around the club displays. Racing came in a poor second to social interaction.
The event is still good and worth attending - helped by its low cost - but could be improved upon. One day is enough, and Sunday looks to be the most popular.

2018 does look to have a few more things going on, with stunt driving and drifting to have a go at.
