TIPEC Northernish Gathering
Sunday 12th April 2019
It was another early start, who came up with breakfast meets? Lunch would be much better.
We had planned to meet the Peterborough members at the Blyth Services on the A1 at 8am. Due to an unexpected A1 closure, we finally got together at 8.30am and were on our way before 9.00.
What a great run up to the meet, with 9 cars and a good pace. The car ran like a dream and we soon arrived at the Wellington near Leeds, for our all you can eat breakfast.
80 cars filled the car park and Blood Bike were on hand to represent the designated charity.
The plan for everyone was to run over to Performance Porsche Klassiker Ltd at Brighouse following breakfast. A few of the Peterborough members were off to tour Scotland, so we tagged on with others. Not the best of runs out, due to being all motorway, but the welcome and organisation at Performance Porsche was good, and we were soon parked in the ‘must leave early’ car park.
Klassiker had a range of great cars to show us, from just chassis, through to a completed car. They have a great place and know what they are doing when it comes to restoration. Their office is awesome with a full turbo rear end as a desk and a rest room with lots of boys toys in there (girls can also play).
Great event with 150 cars at Klassiker Ltd and as usual, the fabulous TIPEC enthusiasm and friendship make it extra special.
