We’ve attended this event a few times in the last year and always received a warm welcome.
The car park is small and the road is tight, narrow and winding, so get there early if you can. There’s a larger area off the back of the car park, but it’s on a slight grassy slope that can become slippery - plus midges!
There are a lot of different cars there, too - E-Type Jags, VWs of all shapes and sizes, older classics and some new classics (they welcomed my Mustang and put it in pride of place!)
On the occasions we’ve been, there have been Spitfires, Golf GTis, a Frog-Eyed Sprite, a BMW 3.0 CSI and any number of wonderful examples of British car enthusiasm at its finest.
There is a BBQ going on throughout the evening and the burgers are delicious and reasonably priced.
Everyone is friendly and seem interested in each-others’ cars so makes for a great atmosphere. There’s no room to do burn-outs or drag-strips and if you like watching cars arrive and leave then it may not be the ideal venue for you because once you’re in the car park, you’re pretty-much wedged in for the evening. Still, I’ve never heard anyone complain about that.
Looking forward to the next!
