Clique 53 Spring Classic
Newstead Abbey
Clique 53 put on a great car show in a spectacular setting at Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire.
For the first 70ish attending in Classic Cars, parking was in pride of place, in front of the Abbey. Everyone else parked in the overflow car park, which, being Newstead Abbey, was still a glorious place to park.
The club supported Blood Bikes for this show, with some nice prizes in the raffle (I have no idea how or when the raffle was drawn).
The on-site cafe was excellent and had good food and drink at a reasonable price. Extra catering was provided, with a coffee bar and a pizza stall.
A wide range of well-presented cars stood on show, including lots of varieties of VWs and Triumphs.
Well worth a visit! The £6 entry (per car, not per person) charged by Newstead Abbey included entry to the gardens.
Historic Newstead Abbey is picturesque and well worth taking your car for photos in a great setting.
