Classics at the Cafe
This event looked interesting and was quite local. It’s organised by Young Retro Motor Club and takes place between 9 and 12am on the first Saturday of each month at Jaynes Place, Bawtry.
We arrived a little late, after getting lost, and found the car park quite full but very disorganised. People had parked just about everywhere and a large but interesting lorry parked diagonally across a large section of available spaces.
No one looked to be marshalling the meet, and at one point, an articulated lorry pulled in.

The meet does have potential, and the cars were very good, but it does need to be controlled, especially the non-classic cars.
We did chat with a few owners about their cars and everyone was super friendly. The cafe was quite full and looked to be popular for breakfast.
I think we’ll give it at least another try, but we’ll certainly get there earlier so we can park near to the front of the property and ensure we don’t get blocked in.

A very interesting little turbo charged Mini with 50% of the car taken up with sound system but all very well made
